Tin Dog

The Tin Dog deposit is strategically located between Saracen's Red October and Deep South deposits, just to the West of the planned Red October haul road, with any gold discoveries potentially being mined as part of a larger gold mining and processing operation in the northern area.

Saracen have secured an option to farm-in to several mining and prospecting leases in the Tin Dog area that compliment it's existing suite of mining leases surrounding the Tin Dog deposit. These potential acquisitions effectively result in a single contiguous licence area controlled by Saracen in this highly prospective area.

The Tin Dog deposit consists of outcropping quartz veined syenite intrusive rocks, which have shed significant amounts of alluvial gold. Historically there has been prospecting activity with dry blowers covering an area of approximately 50 hectares, with numerous shallow gold workings evident.

The area is within a major zone of strong deformation and multiple strike faulting. Several previous exploration programs have been completed (including RC and diamond drilling) with some encouraging results, including:

               8m @ 9.6g/t from 20m depth

           10.4m @ 2.5g/t from 53.3m depth

However, the scope and coverage of this previous work is considered insufficient, and the gold prospectivity remains high.

Published resources for Tin Dog stand at 52koz.

Previous work modelled the Tin Dog prospect on the Kirkland Lake system in Canada and the Jupiter gold deposit located to the North of Tin Dog, which is in a very similar geological setting.
