Extensive regional program testing potential mineralisation in between the Red October deposit and AngloGold Ashanti's Sunrise Dam Operation.
Drillholes are designed to test geophysical/structural targets beneath Lake Carey following comprehensive gravity and magnetic surveys conducted in 2010.
All stage 1 aircore and diamond drilling has now been completed
Aircore holes were assayed for Au, As, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn. Additional multi-elememt analyses are pending
Twelve aircore holes have returned assays >0.1g/t over intervals of at least 1m
Best Au assay results have come from ROAC001 (1m @ 3.0g/t) and ROAC055 (1m @ 0.8g/t)
Aircore hole ROAC021, near to the Red October pit, intersected 0.5%Ni and 0.04%Cu. This highly anomalous result will be further investigated in 2011-12
The initial program on Lake Carey was completed in July 2011. A follow-up program will be designed after all results have been returned from stage 1 and a target generation exercise is completed.
