Whirling Dervish

Whirling Dervish pit is located adjacent to the Carosue Dam processing facility and has provided feed for the mill over the past 18 months. Diamond drilling commenced early in 2011 and returned several intersections of high grade mineralisation beneath the current pit design.

A follow up program will commence in the September quarter to extend the high grade mineralisation at depth. This will target an extension to the resource and provide a basis for underground mine planning and the estimation of an ore reserve.

Mineralisation consists of a broad zone, of generally medium grade mineralisation (1-3g/t). Within this wide zone exists a higher grade core zone that can average 4-6g/t.

In addition to the main lode there is a hangingwall lode. this lode has not been as extensively drilled as the main lode and presents an excellent target for additional resources. Drilling during 2011/12 will also target this zone.
